Terms of Use

These terms apply to all software published under the TallerTech name, including every app and browser extension linked from this site (collectively, the "Software"). By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Software.

1. The Software is provided free of charge

All TallerTech Software is free to download and use. Nothing on this site is a subscription or a paid product, and using it doesn't create a commercial relationship of any kind.

2. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. TallerTech is a hobby project; there is no guarantee the Software is free of bugs, will keep working after an update to Windows, Chrome, Edge, or any third-party service it depends on, or will continue to be maintained or supported at all.

3. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TALLERTECH AND ITS DEVELOPER ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, LOSS, OR HARM ARISING FROM DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR USING THE SOFTWARE. This includes, without limitation, data loss or corruption, security incidents, service interruption, network misconfiguration, unauthorized access to files or systems, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential loss. This applies regardless of whether the issue arose from a defect in the Software, how it was used or configured, or its interaction with third-party systems or services. You use every TallerTech tool entirely at your own risk.

Specific tool warnings:

• SFTP Tray manages real Windows accounts, file permissions, and server access — misconfiguration can expose files you didn't intend to share.
• NordVPN → UniFi tool generates network configuration from your own credentials — you're responsible for reviewing it before applying it.

Always test in a low-stakes environment first, keep backups of anything important, and don't rely on any of these tools as the sole safeguard for sensitive data or systems.

4. Unofficial third-party integrations

Some tools interact with third-party services (for example, NordVPN's account API) in ways those companies haven't officially documented or endorsed. These integrations are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by NordVPN, Ubiquiti, or any other third party named in these tools, and may stop working at any time if the underlying service changes without notice.

5. Your responsibility

You're responsible for how you use the Software, for complying with any terms of the platforms or services it interacts with, and for having appropriate permission before using it against systems, accounts, or networks you don't personally own.

6. Intellectual property and license

The Software is free to use, but TallerTech retains all copyright and intellectual property rights. You're granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the Software. You may not sell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the Software without explicit permission.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TallerTech and its developer from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use or misuse of the Software, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

8. Changes

These terms, and the Software itself, may change at any time without notice. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

9. Governing law and severability

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force and effect.
